![]() ![]() I'm much happier when an app crashes when I expect it to.īy the way, I was "rewarded" with this new install of PSE with a whole group of other Adobe Creative Cloud apps (None of which did I request nor agree to!)ĭon't get too excited by seeing the Creative Cloud Uninstaller.app. Not only did that unknown-to-me-app Quit, but apparently Adobe says it quit " unexpectedly"! Don't you hate it when that happens. Plus a Notification that "Elements Auto Creations 2022" started up and promptly Quit. Have already had the two daily Notifications about PhotoshopServer not being able to open. Since this is a very benign "problem", I may just let sleeping dogs lie! I'll leave its behavior/actions as a problem for the reader! (Programmers are not an especially ingenious group when it comes to file names! ) It runs on every start up of your computer. ![]() You probably have one in your BootDrive/Library/LaunchAgents directory called "". You can usually see the contents of these files with a simple plain text editor. These bits of code can do practically anything the computer is capable of doing based on an almost infinite number of other actions, conditions or time. But Organizer opened without any further problems.Īs for the two notifications every day at specific times, I assume they come from LaunchAgents or LaunchDaemons (Windows may use different names), probably in the BootDrive/Library/ path. When I opened Organizer, it tried to open/run "Elements Auto Creations 2022" but that app through up a dialog saying something to the effect that an app was "busy" at the moment. There will still be several dozens of plist and other left over files from that install but I rarely take the time to track all those little bits and pieces down. I've also compressed the PSE 2021 install and moved it off my boot drive. I also disabled many other items and cleared caches where possible. I disabled all those "Media-Analysis" items as suggested. Thanks for the tip! Since I've never opened Organizer, I've never looked at its Prefs. I asked about uninstalling Organizer and the "Support Community" claims that should not be done as "they work together" (even if you don't specifically use them? Shared "Libraries"? Shared ".lylb's"?) Perhaps Adobe has trouble understanding the differences in the two names? Hopefully, the fact that there are two Organizers installed is ay least part of the problem. I don't think I'll bother any of these other than probably deleting/unistalling PSE Organizer 20 21. Question: What can I do to stop these annoying and apparently non-harmful Notifications of this application crashing? I plan on compressing, renaming and moving "./ PhotoshopServer.app/Contents/MacOS/ PhotoshopServer" (location 1, above) to observe any consequences. I have not found any such app/exe/file on my drives. I never use the Adobe Elements 2022 Organizer.app.Īdobe Support Community suggested that I might have installed Photoshop Express at some point. app/Contents/MacOS/ PhotoshopServerĬontents/Frameworks/ PhotoshopServer. This is the (Mac) file path for the app:Ĭontents/Frameworks/ PhotoshopServer. The most recent one was installed (I assume) with the latest update/install of PSElements 20 22. I have two copies of "Photoshop Server.app" on my boot disk. I have not experienced any problems using PSE nor have I seen any other crashes or problems from the app. I have no dyld files on my Mac although they are supposedly used in Big Sur and later versions of the OS. ![]()
